MTR

What MTR does

Sends several probe rounds along the path to the destination and reports, per hop, packets sent and received, loss percentage and min/avg/max latency.

• Use it to prove where packet loss really happens and to hand hosting or ISP support a report they can act on.
• Loss shown only on a middle hop that disappears further on is usually rate-limiting by that router, not a real problem. IPv4 only. Free account required.
